Who we are:
Divinity Family Services is a 501(c) (3) non-profit child placing agency dedicated to providing HOPE and HEALING to children who have been REMOVED and PLACED in foster CARE.
Our History
Divinity formed in 2009 from a collaboration of ideas of several service-oriented members of the Texas Hill Country with a desire to serve local children who were victims of abuse and neglect.
As the number of children REMOVED from destructive environments continued to rise, it became clear that a faith-based agency with a passion to serve was needed to bring HOPE and HEALING to children and families.

In 2019, seeds of HOPE and HEALING were sown in 942 children. We are currently serving 500 children a day. During 2019, over 150 Divinity families gave the gift of permanency to children through adoption!
Our Goal
Foster CARE, grow HOPE, always SERVE! Divinity's goal is to lead the State of Texas in providing HOPE and HEALING for children who have been REMOVED and PLACED in foster CARE. We are changing the face of foster care!

One of our most distinguishing qualities as an agency is the philosophy by which we approach our services.
At Divinity, we realize that to provide the highest quality of CARE to our children, we as an agency must provide the highest quality of service to our foster families.
Our staff ARE the difference!
A few ways we serve our families:
• We operate with a commitment to return calls and emails within 24 hours.
• A step-by-step, easy to follow, plan to become a licensed foster family.
• Exceptional instructor led evidence-based training delivered in a convenient format.
• Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are available to schedule appointments on the weekend or after 5 PM.
• Providing post-placement education and support.
Sometimes, it is the little things that make a huge difference like answering our phones! Sometimes it is big things like showing up in court to help advocate for the family or sitting at the hospital with a child.

We believe our caregivers (related and unrelated) deserve honor, respect, and support in their mission to CARE for children who have been REMOVED.
Foster and adoptive families are the HEROES!
Thru the years, Divinity has responded to the needs of children and families by continually growing our services and staff. Thru God's grace and provision, we are serving over 350 children who have been REMOVED and PLACED in foster CARE.
Based on projections for the coming years, the need for more kinship and foster families is sharply rising, because more children are entering CARE than exiting. Divinity has responded to this need by positioning resources and expanding our services to families in the Austin and Central Texas area.
Divinity's reputation for serving kinship families has opened the doors for us to advocate for the special needs of these families to local and state lawmakers.
As Divinity grows and expands, the family services offered will be extended. Divinity is focused on solving social issues at the root causes with education, promotion of social and political awareness, and addressing other human service needs (such as addictions).
Divinity is rooted in HOPE, branching out in CARE.
